Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 15 (ANI): Anjumm Shharma, who is known for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Wazir’ and ‘Mirzapur’, is currently seen in Milan Luthria’s ‘Sultan of Delhi’. He shared his experiences of on-screen camaraderie with co-actor Tahir Raj Bhasin.

Anjumm said, “Tahir and I took this opportunity with seriousness and sincerity of work on a show which is being made on such a mega scale, helmed by the legendary director Milan Luthria. Interestingly, our first shot together was the scene where Arjun and Bangaali, our respective on-screen characters met for the first time. That was also the first day of our shoot of Sultan of Delhi! And it was scheduled intentionally by Milan sir.”Anjumm and Tahir shared a mutual understanding, “Tahir and I didn’t like to talk too much on set while shooting because a few of some sequences were intense in performances and heavy on action and it needed commitment from us. But slowly we were so much involved in our on-screen bromance and friendship that we developed a rather unique, warm, comfortable and mature friendship between us,” added Anjumm.

Recounting a memorable moment while filming, Anjumm shared, “We were shooting on the top of a train which was a beautiful experience and something special that we shared together in our cinematic journey. I remember after we were done with the shoot, I was still on top of the train and Milan sir was standing on the platform. I told him, “Sir this was our ‘Kachche Dhaage’ moment”, a blockbuster film which had a big impact on me in my childhood. Another experience was shooting an elaborate action sequence in Kutch. It was 47 degrees in summer and there wasn’t even a tree for any kind of shade. I was in a jacket and we had to look cool and macho in that heat.”He recounted an elaborate action sequence in scorching 47-degree heat in Kutch. Anjumm said, “There wasn’t a tree in sight for shade, and I was clad in a jacket. We had to exude a cool and macho demeanour despite the sweltering conditions. Throughout the show’s production, we encountered it all – from extreme heat to cooler night sequences, shooting during heavy monsoons, and capturing the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. Tahir often remarked that it felt like we were on a road trip throughout the shoot of ‘Sultan of Delhi.'”Anjumm concluded by emphasizing the depth of their friendship, saying, “We have shot and lived this friendship in the show, through all the season from extreme heat to cooler night sequences to shooting during heavy monsoon, sunrise and sunsets, we have seen it all! Tahir used to tell me that we both felt like we were on a road trip throughout the shoot of ‘Sultan Of Delhi’. We believe “best friends are comfortable in each other’s conversations but great friends are comfortable in each other’s silences.” (ANI)

Dubai Safari to introduce extended hours for night safaris

Published

on

Timings at the Dubai Safari Park will be extended this winter season, allowing visitors to experience the attraction at night. Evening visitors will be able to observe changes in the animals’ behaviour as the night deepens. The park’s lions will roar more, the usually elusive pygmy hippos will be more active and the predatory instincts of carnivores primed for nocturnal hunting will intensify.

The night safari timings of 6pm to 8pm will be applicable for a limited period—from December 13 to January 12. Tickets will be sold on the park’s website starting from December 11.

The extended hours will include two night safaris led by wildlife guides. Visitors can “expect to catch” a glimpse of the night-time routines of over 90 species, “besides participating in interactive activities involving animals”, the park’s operator said. The safari will host live performances, including an African fire show and a neon display. Visitors will be able to observe and study the animals’ natural adaptations at night, which include enhanced night vision, echolocation, and a heightened sense of smell and hearing.

Ahmad Al Zarouni, director of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities at Dubai Municipality, said, “With the introduction of the unique night safari, we are excited to reveal a new perspective on the world of wildlife after dark. This experience offers a rare opportunity to explore hidden aspects of life in the wild and learn about our constant efforts to enhance animal welfare, by day and by night.”

The extended timings are being offered amid the country’s peak tourist season.

According to the Dubai Safari Park, “well-considered measures” are in place to ensure that the ecosystem and animals’ natural routines remain undisturbed during the night safaris. “Only nocturnally active species will be part of the safari experience, allowing guests to observe them in their most natural state.”
