Commuters in Dubai Marina can now ride in style and comfort thanks to a sleek new upgrade by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
As part of Phase One of a major marine transport revamp, five key stations, Marina Promenade, Marina Terrace, Marina Walk, Marina Mall, and Marina Mall 1, have been fully transformed. And yes, they’re now completely air-conditioned, just in time for the summer heat!
Traditional Vibes, Modern Comfort
These revamped waiting areas aren’t just cooler, they’re also smarter and more stylish. Taking design cues from Dubai’s traditional wooden abras, the stations blend the emirate’s rich maritime heritage with a sleek, contemporary flair. Think heritage-chic meets modern-day commuter needs.
Inside, passengers will find state-of-the-art facilities and enhanced services, making the daily ride across the waterway a breeze.
Why It Matters
The upgrade is part of RTA’s push to create a more sustainable, convenient, and passenger-friendly marine transport network, while boosting overall customer happiness.
“Comfort, culture, and connectivity, that’s what we’re aiming for,” an RTA official said.
“It’s about enriching the marine commute while celebrating what makes Dubai unique.”
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. The RTA plans to continue modernising marine transport stations across the city, ensuring both residents and tourists enjoy a premium, efficient way to move around by water.
