f 5,983 drones lit up the night sky, forming the world’s largest flying LED screen. The record-breaking spectacle lasted around 20 minutes and combined state-of-the-art drone choreography with lasers, lights, and a jaw-dropping fireworks display, delivering a fully immersive visual experience like no other.
The aerial show featured stunning 3D formations, including giant portraits of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. Audiences were also treated to animated visuals of galloping horses and the Dubai World Cup trophy, blending cultural pride with futuristic tech.
Guinness World Records confirmed that the Dubai Racing Club had broken its own previous record set last year when 4,000 drones created a similar LED screen. “With 5,983 drones, they’ve created the largest screen made of drones, capable of presenting videos and images like a regular screen. It’s a showcase of innovation and drone technology,” the official statement read.
The grand finale closed with a heartfelt message to the crowd:
“Thank you all. See you next year for the 30th anniversary of the Dubai World Cup.”
