Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a cabinet reshuffle in the federal government.
The changes include the appointment of Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh as Minister of Health and Prevention, while AbdulRahman bin Mohamed Al Owais will continue his service as Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
In a statement, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed gratitude to Al Owais for his years of dedicated service leading the Ministry of Health, during which major developments were achieved in strengthening the UAE’s healthcare system. He wished both ministers success in their new roles, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to advancing national capabilities and delivering excellence in government services.
Al Sayegh has held several senior leadership roles across the UAE’s public and private sectors. Since 2018, he has served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he oversaw economic and commercial affairs, focusing on economic diversification and international partnerships.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at ADNOC, a board member of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Vice Chairman of Emirates Nature–WWF, and Co-Chair of the UAE-UK Business Council.
His previous leadership positions include serving as Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Aldar Properties, and Masdar, as well as board memberships at Etihad Airways Group and Mubadala Investment Company.
Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College in the US.
