Dubai Police have rubbished sensational reports that a 20-year-old Ukrainian model was “missing for 10 days” and later found “battered” by the side of the road, insisting the claims are completely false.

In an official statement, police confirmed that the woman had not been abducted or abandoned but was, in fact, in hospital recovering from severe injuries sustained in a tragic fall at a restricted construction site.

The shocking twist comes after international media outlets claimed the model had mysteriously vanished, only to be discovered in distress days later. But Dubai authorities have set the record straight, revealing that she was injured on March 12 after entering the site alone and falling from a significant height.

Witnesses immediately called emergency services, and she was rushed to the hospital, where she remains under medical care, with her family by her side.

Police dismissed the widely circulated reports as “inaccurate,” slamming claims that she was missing or left abandoned as completely untrue.

Officials have urged the public to avoid spreading misinformation and respect the woman’s privacy as she recovers. Meanwhile, authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, keeping all case details strictly confidential under UAE law.

The Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeals’ State Security Chamber has sentenced three men to death and a fourth to life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of Moldovan-Israeli citizen Zvi Kogan.

The court found the defendants guilty of kidnapping and killing the victim with terrorist intent. The case was heard following a directive from Attorney General Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, who ordered a swift trial after investigations by the State Security Prosecution.

Prosecutors revealed that the defendants had tracked the victim before carrying out the crime. The court was presented with detailed confessions, forensic reports, post-mortem findings, evidence of the tools used in the crime, and witness testimonies.

The verdict handed the death penalty to the three men who carried out the murder, while their accomplice, who aided them, was sentenced to life in prison, followed by deportation upon completion of his term.

Under UAE law, all death sentences are automatically subject to appeal and are referred to the Federal Supreme Court for review.

Dr. Al Shamsi said the ruling reaffirms the UAE’s commitment to combating terrorism while upholding justice and the rule of law. He emphasised that the judiciary remains steadfast in protecting national security and stability.

He added that the UAE is a global model of coexistence and tolerance, where laws safeguard the safety and security of all residents, regardless of their background.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Dubai Rental Disputes Center with the support of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment, aims to ease financial burdens, reunite families, and provide a fresh start for those struggling with rent-related financial claims.

Judge Abdul Qader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Dubai Rental Disputes Center, praised the initiative as a reflection of the UAE’s values of compassion and generosity. He expressed gratitude to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment for their support, highlighting the importance of balancing legal rulings with humanitarian considerations.

“This initiative sets an exemplary model for solidarity and cooperation across all sectors of society. It reaffirms our commitment to rehabilitating and reintegrating released individuals, ensuring they have an opportunity to start anew,” he stated.
