Navraj Hans has big boots to fill, but the son of singer-politician Hans Raj Hans and son-in-law of pop star Daler Mahendi hopes to live up to the expectations. His latest step in that direction is lending his voice to a wedding single ‘Nachan Da Time Hogaya’ and he was in Dubai to announce the details.

“I agree that no wedding is complete with Punjabi songs and there are some iconic songs that are an absolute must. Every artist works in the belief that if he gives his best, that piece of work tops the charts. Nachan Da Time is like an appeal to all those at the wedding party who need a push to shed their shyness and get on the dance floor,” said the Hans junior.

“It is good to have the pressure of expectations so you know you have to deliver. I am fortunate that I am being compared straight with legends and it keeps me striving to do better.”

The comparison itch came out in a funny way as well when he was asked about his own wedding to Ajit Kaur, daughter of Daler Mahendi, who is present at every wedding in the world through his infectious chartbusters. “At my wedding, I was so disappointed with the songs being played. I kept telling myself, ‘o yaar, I could have done better than this myself.”

Shot in Agra, the lyrics of the captivating track are penned by the renowned songwriter Kumaar, composed by the talented Sunny Inder and produced by Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, Manish Vasisht, and Arzad Naaz. Directed by G Ashok and released by the music label, Ta Ra Rum Pum Music, Nachan Da Time Hogaya is a perfect blend of traditional Punjabi folk beats and contemporary musical elements while capturing the vibrant spirit and joyous atmosphere of a wedding.

The video, which was shown on a big screen at the Occidental hotel in Al Jaddaf, transmits infectious energy and foot-tapping rhythm. Watch the video here, and follow Ta Ra Rum Music’s YouTube channel.

Sharing spotlight with budding rapper

After promoting the music in India, where his father is a politician with the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party, Navraj came dressed in a rapper’s flamboyant jacket despite the summer heat going up couple of notches.

While giving interviews, a budding underground music artist Dhanishta Bhatia and the daughter of an influencer, gave Navraj a quick introduction about herself. Sportingly, the singer asked her to give out a sample in front of the watching cameras. When she finished, Navraj gave a supportive shout-out and even got the audience to chime in.

If the forwardness of Dhanishta (Itzz.starb on Instagram) and other influencers to grab the opportunity to sing and dance with the artist was not enough, hopefully ‘Nachan Da Time Hogaya’ will be pulsating enough to hit the floor with gay abandon.
