Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa lit up in red, white, and blue on Thursday night, displaying stars and stripes to welcome US President Donald Trump to the UAE in spectacular style.
The dazzling tribute marked Trump’s official arrival in the UAE on May 15, following earlier stops in Saudi Arabia and Qatar during his Middle East tour.
President Trump was greeted at Abu Dhabi International Airport by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, underscoring the strong ties between the two nations.
The two leaders held talks on a strategic partnership between the UAE and the US, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields to serve shared interests.
They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
During his visit to the country, POTUS is expected to visit Qasr Al Watan and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Trump will be staying at the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi.
The visit is seen as a powerful sign of the ongoing partnership between the UAE and the US, with both countries committed to working together on key areas of growth and security.
