Parts of the UAE are experiencing heavy rainfall, particularly in eastern regions around 3pm. The downpour has been described as cold and intense, with several wadis receiving significant rain.

Earlier this morning, light to moderate showers were reported in Al Ain, Dubai, and Sharjah. Residents are advised to exercise caution on roads and monitor local weather updates.

Meanwhile, the UAE will continue to experience unstable weather conditions over the next few days due to a surface low-pressure system, coupled with an upper air low, which affects the region, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

Today, October 13

  • Skies: Fair to partly cloudy.
  • Rain: Heavy showers in the eastern part with sporadic showers over the northern and some internal and southern areas, including the islands.
  • Winds: Light to moderate, fresh to strong at times, causing blowing dust and reduced visibility.

Tuesday, October 14

  • Skies: Fair to partly cloudy, with potential rainfall in eastern and southern areas.
  • Humidity & Fog: Rising at night; fog or mist likely in coastal and internal regions.
  • Winds: Southeasterly to northwesterly, 15–30 km/h, gusting up to 40 km/h.
  • Sea: Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, slight in the Oman Sea.

Wednesday, October 15

  • Skies: Fair to partly cloudy, low clouds in eastern and southern areas.
  • Humidity & Fog: Nights will be humid; fog or mist possible in coastal and internal regions.
  • Winds: Light to moderate, occasionally freshening.
  • Sea: Slight to moderate across the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The authorities have advised residents and visitors to take precautions while driving in dusty conditions and to monitor local weather updates for any changes.

UAE weather this week: More clouds, rising humidity and chances of fog

The UAE is gearing up for a stretch of partly cloudy days, with forecasters expecting cloud cover to slowly build as the week progresses. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Tuesday starts mild with patches of low cloud forming over coastal areas, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the country.

Winds will remain light to moderate through the day, beginning south-easterly before shifting north-westerly by the afternoon. Temperatures stay pleasant overall.

What to expect through the week

Wednesday

Skies stay partly cloudy, with thicker cloud cover expected at times over islands and coastal spots. Humidity will creep up overnight, which means mist or light fog could form by early Thursday morning — particularly in coastal and inland areas. Winds remain light to moderate but may strengthen slightly over exposed regions.

Thursday

Clouds continue to appear in intervals, with more low cloud likely along the western and northern coastline. Temperatures may climb a little. Humidity rises again overnight, bringing another chance of early-morning mist or fog. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will stay slight.

Friday

Expect partly cloudy to generally fair weather heading into the weekend. Some clouds may drift over the eastern mountains during the afternoon. Winds remain light to moderate, and the pattern of rising humidity at night continues, meaning fog or mist could return early in the morning, especially in low-lying areas. Sea conditions remain slight.

If you’ve been loving the cooler breeze lately, there’s more of it on the way. The UAE is expected to experience a stretch of colder weather and intermittent rainfall from today through Saturday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

A low-pressure system sitting over the southeast, plus a cold air mass sweeping in, is keeping temperatures down and skies unsettled. So yes, keep that jacket handy.

What the next few days will look like

Cloudy with possible showers:
Expect partly cloudy to fully cloudy skies at times, especially over coastal, northern and eastern areas. As cloud cover builds, scattered rainfall is likely.

Dusty in some spots:
Light to moderate winds will swing between the southeast and northeast, occasionally picking up enough strength to kick up blowing dust.

Calmer seas:
The Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, while the Oman Sea stays mostly slight.

Today & tomorrow: cooler and cloudier

Western areas may see more cloud cover, plus a noticeable dip in temperatures. Winds will shift gradually from southeasterly to northwesterly, blowing at 10–25 km/h and hitting up to 35 km/h at times. Keep an umbrella close, you might need it.

Friday: still cloudy with a chance of rain

Clouds will linger over coastal and northern areas, with more showers possible. Overnight humidity will creep in, especially in inland regions, making early Saturday mornings a bit misty. Winds remain light to moderate but may freshen occasionally.

Saturday: same story continues

More cloud cover, more chances of rain, mainly over coastal, northern and eastern areas. Expect another humid night going into Sunday, with the possibility of light fog forming inland. Sea conditions stay unchanged.

Get ready for a stretch of mixed weather across the UAE this week. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says conditions will turn unstable from Tuesday through November 22, bringing everything from morning fog to dusty winds and rough seas in some areas.

Expect humid mornings with fog or light fog forming over coastal and inland spots, so commuters might want to plan for slower starts. As the day progresses, the weather is expected to shift to fair or partly cloudy skies, with some dust anticipated, particularly in the western regions.

Winds will stay mostly light to moderate but could pick up at times, reaching 40 km/h, particularly in the west. The Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman may also experience slightly rough conditions on certain days, which could impact marine activities.

By Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to dip slightly, giving residents a brief taste of the cooler weather ahead.
