On the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day (March 15), the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) announced a new system to check and improve the quality of services for young children beyond nurseries and schools.
The system will evaluate programmes like camps, after-school activities, libraries, parks, playgrounds, museums, and family entertainment centres to ensure they are safe, enriching, and high-quality.
Raising the Bar for Children’s Services
The assessment will focus on services for children aged 0-8, with plans to expand up to 18 years in the future. High-quality services will be recognised, while those needing improvement will receive support and guidance.
Sana bint Mohamed Suhail, Minister of Family and Director-General of the ECA, said: “We are raising the bar for children’s services beyond schools. Every family should feel confident that their child is in a safe and enriching environment.”
How Businesses Can Get Involved
The ECA is inviting businesses in Abu Dhabi that offer children’s services outside of schools and nurseries to register their interest by emailing ecce@eca.gov.ae with their company details and services.
This initiative aims to ensure every child in Abu Dhabi has access to the best possible experiences to learn and grow.
