The UAE will see clear to partly cloudy skies on Wednesday, May 27, with more clouds expected in eastern parts of the country.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a drop in temperatures, making it cooler than yesterday. Humid conditions are expected at night and will continue into the morning of Wednesday, May 28.

Daytime temperatures will range between 37°C and 42°C, while nighttime lows will fall between 26°C and 30°C.

Light to moderate winds are expected across the country, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h. Winds may pick up at times, causing blowing dust and sand, so residents are advised to be cautious when outdoors.

Residents heading out to the beach for a swim should be careful, as sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may turn rough at times during the day, despite generally being slight to moderate.

UAE weather alert: Expect rain, dusty skies and rough seas this week

The UAE is in for a mixed bag of weather over the next few days, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warning residents to expect scattered rain, dusty conditions and choppy seas from December 12 to 19.

According to the NCM, a surface low-pressure system combined with a deepening upper-air trough will move across the country, bringing waves of cloud cover and on-and-off scattered rain in several areas. So expect a bit of everything, sunshine, clouds, and surprise showers, depending on where you are.

The Arabian Gulf is expected to be rough, while the Sea of Oman will stay slight to moderate, so beach trips and boat plans might need a rethink.

Drivers should also stay cautious, as “light to moderate” winds may kick up dusty conditions in some areas.

More updates are expected through the week as the system shifts.

The UAE is heading into a period of stable and pleasant winter weather, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting humid mornings with a chance of fog and mist, followed by generally fair to partly cloudy conditions across the country through Friday.

Early mornings are likely to see fog or light mist forming over coastal and inland areas, especially in western regions. Forecasters have warned that visibility may drop at times during the early hours, urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads before conditions gradually improve later in the morning.

As the day progresses, skies will remain mostly clear with occasional light cloud cover, creating comfortable conditions for outdoor activities. Winds will be light to moderate throughout the week, shifting between southeasterly and northeasterly directions at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, and may occasionally reach up to 30 km/h.

Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight, making it a favourable period for marine activities with no major disturbances forecast.

Looking ahead to the end of the week, cloud cover is expected to increase slightly by Friday night, particularly over the islands and western offshore areas. However, no significant weather changes or rain have been indicated at this stage, and overall conditions are expected to remain calm and stable.

Motorists are urged to exercise extra caution while driving late at night and during the early morning hours due to reduced visibility.

The UAE is gearing up for a stretch of partly cloudy days, with forecasters expecting cloud cover to slowly build as the week progresses. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Tuesday starts mild with patches of low cloud forming over coastal areas, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the country.

Winds will remain light to moderate through the day, beginning south-easterly before shifting north-westerly by the afternoon. Temperatures stay pleasant overall.

What to expect through the week

Wednesday

Skies stay partly cloudy, with thicker cloud cover expected at times over islands and coastal spots. Humidity will creep up overnight, which means mist or light fog could form by early Thursday morning — particularly in coastal and inland areas. Winds remain light to moderate but may strengthen slightly over exposed regions.

Thursday

Clouds continue to appear in intervals, with more low cloud likely along the western and northern coastline. Temperatures may climb a little. Humidity rises again overnight, bringing another chance of early-morning mist or fog. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will stay slight.

Friday

Expect partly cloudy to generally fair weather heading into the weekend. Some clouds may drift over the eastern mountains during the afternoon. Winds remain light to moderate, and the pattern of rising humidity at night continues, meaning fog or mist could return early in the morning, especially in low-lying areas. Sea conditions remain slight.
