DP World ILT20: Watch cricket and drive away in a luxury car

Taking the cricket fever up a notch, the DP World International League T20 will give away luxury cars through a computer-generated draw process tothree lucky fans who purchase tickets and attend the Season 2 matches which begin on Friday, 19 January. The opening day will see defending champions Gulf Giants take on home side Sharjah Warriors at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

So, how does this work? Just buy a ticket from https://tickets.ilt20.ae or at any of the 14 Virgin Megastore outlets across the UAE and then come watch your favourite playersincluding Australia’s World Cup hero David Warner, Andre Russell, David Willey, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Alex Hales, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Trent Boult, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Woakes and Maheesh Theekshana play.

For fans, their ticket numberscanned at the stadium entrance, automatically puts them in the race to be among the lucky 50 shortlisted for the grand prize on that match day. The lucky 50 names will pop up on the giant screen during the course of the matches and the final three winners will be announced on February 17, during the tournament final which will be played at the iconic Dubai International Stadium.

Besides the current T20 superstars, league ambassadors Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar join a world-class roster of commentators which includes cricket legends like Virender Sehwag, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. These legends of the game will be another big attraction for the fans during the 34-match tournament.

UAE sends 90 metric tons of urgent relief supplies to Sudan

On the directions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Humanitarian (DXB-H) has facilitated urgent relief supplies to Chad’s capital, Ndjamena, to support over 70,000 Sudanese people, alleviating their suffering and safeguarding lives in the region.

In a swift response to the escalating humanitarian crisis, a Boeing 747 cargo flight departed from Al Maktoum International Airport on Saturday, August 31, at 9:00 am carrying 90 metric tonnes of essential medical supplies, shelter materials, and relief items provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). These critical resources are expected to support over 70,000 Sudanese people, alleviating their suffering and safeguarding lives in the region.

The newly unveiled Ferrari World Esports Arena features an impressive lineup of 20 Gran Turismo simulators, thoughtfully designed to cater to a broad audience.
