Dubai businessman Anis Sajan, popularly known as Mr. Cricket UAE, has once again stepped up to share the joy of cricket with those who rarely get the chance to experience it live.
Sajan, vice chairman of Danube Group, has distributed more than 700 Asia Cup tickets to blue-collar workers, giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch their sporting heroes in action.
The Asia Cup 2025, which kicked off on Tuesday, September 9, features teams including India, Pakistan, UAE, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Oman, and Sri Lanka. But the most highly anticipated clash remains the India vs Pakistan group-stage match on Sunday, September 14, at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
Around 100 tickets have been earmarked for the blockbuster India vs Pakistan group-stage clash, another 100 for a potential Super 4 rematch on September 21, and 100 more for the grand final.
To keep the process fair, the tickets were distributed through a lucky draw, giving every worker an equal chance and adding a sense of excitement and inclusivity.
Even better, those attending the matches will not lose a day’s pay.
