Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Dubai can now verify their employment contracts without visiting the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in person, thanks to a new online system launched on July 7 by the Philippines’ Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Described as a “game-changer” by Labour Attache Atty John Rio A. Bautista, the platform aims to make contract verification faster, easier, and more secure for Filipinos working in the UAE.
“It’s about giving OFWs confidence and convenience, ensuring their vital documents are verified quickly and securely, from wherever they are,” said Bautista.
What’s New
Previously, OFWs had to submit documents online or by email, but still had to appear physically at the Philippine Consulate or MWO-Dubai, often requiring hard-to-get appointments.
With the new online verification system, developed in partnership with DataFlow Group, OFWs can now:
- Submit and verify contracts remotely
- Avoid in-person appointments
- Complete the process entirely online via dmw.dataflowgroup.com
Pilot Details
- Launch date: July 7
- Duration: 30-day pilot phase
- Capacity: Up to 200 applications per weekday
- Timings: 8:00am to 11:59pm (UAE time)
- Expansion: Capacity may increase based on demand
This new system is expected to significantly reduce the stress and delays often experienced during peak travel periods.
