Published

on

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with Etihad Rail, has officially opened a new 1.8 km flyover to improve traffic flow on Al Yalayis Street, especially around Dubai Investments Park (DIP).

What the Flyover Offers

The new signal-controlled bridge features three lanes and slip roads, providing smoother access to and from Sheikh Zayed Road. It’s designed to reduce congestion, improve road safety, and allow Etihad Rail trains to pass through the central median without disrupting traffic.

Part of UAE’s Transport Network Upgrade

This project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the UAE’s transport network, improving both passenger and freight rail services. It also reflects a collaborative effort between RTA and Etihad Rail to provide more sustainable, integrated transport solutions.

Future Plans

In the future, the flyover will be extended towards Jumeirah Golf Estates, with plans for additional lanes to further improve connectivity in the area.
