Residents across the UAE can expect a mix of dusty, humid, and partly cloudy weather over the next few days, with light to moderate rain likely in parts of the Al Dhafra region, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM said the weather will be humid on Wednesday while dusty conditions prevail, especially over western areas, with a chance of scattered rain. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly, while humidity levels will increase overnight and into Thursday morning, leading to possible light fog, particularly over the western coastal areas.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate at 10–25 km/h, occasionally picking up to 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will both see mild sea conditions.
Weekend forecast
Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy, again with a chance of light rain in Al Dhafra. Overnight humidity will continue, raising the possibility of early morning mist in some coastal and inland areas.
By Saturday, clouds will linger over the western region, with calm to moderate winds and smooth seas in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Humidity is likely to build up again on Saturday night and Sunday morning, especially in coastal zones, possibly leading to patchy fog or mist.
Weather pattern
Forecasters said the country is currently under the influence of a weak surface low-pressure system from the east, coupled with a weak upper-level trough, which is keeping skies partly cloudy and temperatures moderate.
Daytime highs are expected to hover around the mid-30s°C, while nights will remain cooler and more humid, particularly along the coast and in desert areas.
