Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will arrive in the UAE on Thursday, June 12, for a day-long official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
The visit underscores the “deep-rooted fraternal relationship” between the two countries, according to a statement from the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office. Sharif will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, several federal ministers, and senior officials.
During his time in Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Sharif is expected to hold high-level meetings with UAE leaders, where discussions will cover a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues.
The visit aims to deepen economic cooperation, enhance strategic partnerships, and explore new avenues for collaboration across key sectors.
This marks Sharif’s second visit to the UAE this year, following his trip in February, where he met with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and attended the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
The UAE is home to over 1.7 million Pakistani expatriates, and the two nations have enjoyed strong diplomatic and economic ties since the UAE’s founding in 1971.
